Hail, seeker of wisdom!
The Verum Model is a psychoeducation framework whose intention it is to assist the individual into adulthood. Focusing on healthy and appropriate development, this theory can be implemented alongside any curriculum.

Verum means truth, and as a fundamental cornerstone of the work we do, truth is at the core. A genuine desire for change, this model is based on uplifting people through hands on and easily implemented programmes, that rely on the intellectual prowess of the professional and the willingness of the participant. I have worked with a number of clients on the journey in creating the Verum Approach. Having a very high success rate, this approach showcases its versatility and expert design, with over a decade of thought and patience.
Introducing Verum to the world is a scary feat, because I believe in my work, and I hope that this could potentially be something that will help people on a large scale. What is really awesome about this model is that it can be used across a wide range of demographics and psychographics as it is purely skills based and personality focused, emphasising the urgency and importance of capacity building and positioning.
By allowing the person to find themselves, it affords them opportunities that only personal growth and self-awareness can bolster. And it can be adapted to any age group, or socio-economic status. The only thing is that there must be buy-in from the family, and especially the child. It’s that age old adage: You can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. It’s not about the resources or tutelage; it’s about the quality of the participants character and their ability for growth. Even in the case where one does not have the oversight of a mentor, this model can be navigated by the participant. It is always advised that one seek guidance from another, but that is not always possible. However, this person should not be excluded due to them not having the right mentorship.
How does Verum's model work?
The model was designed by students for students. As I have always seen myself as an academic, I went from University straight into designing a business that incorporates both the education and psychology industries, thus hitting the books, but this time, without the guidance of a professor.
Grassroots, I have used my organisation as a research and development institute in order to investigate alternatives to mainstream education. As I have worked in research where the main area of focus was e-Learning and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), I have been at the forefront of this industry since 2014. Verum was born out of a desire to disrupt the entire industry, putting the power back in the hands of the citizen, and giving a platform to people to rise up against their oppression, and start taking life seriously, but with practical and aligned steps.
Knowing this, Verum became a place where people could learn how to grow through trial and error, and being taught how to hold compassion for oneself during the learning process.
Verum first tries to understand the person: who they are, what they like and dislike, what natural flow they have, and what deep dark secrets are hidden by manifestations of dishealth. Verum has developed a system that assists in understanding oneself, using a very prominent personality test. This is being released on Instagram at some stage still within this semester. It will help you navigate who you are, identifying and refining your skills and self-concept.
Then, Verum's model has an assessment that has been created that has the potential to revolutionise the work we do in both education and psychology, and is easily understood and administered. There are always challenges, but these are more personal factors that get in the way, and not necessarily a fault in the focus. In one of my next journal entries, we will look more into the Divergent Skills Matrix and how it's been designed.
